What is the Zekere Zaak Advies subsidy?

The government wants to stimulate the hiring of (false) self-employed individuals in the cultural and creative sector. From 2025, compliance with the DBA Act will be actively monitored. With the Zekere Zaak subsidy, you can request a financial contribution as a client or employer when hiring a self-employed person, thereby transitioning from client to employer. Do you work with both self-employed individuals and employees? You can also apply for this subsidy.

What are the topics on which I can get advice?

Hiring a self-employed person can raise many questions. What does an employee cost, and what do they yield? Is it currently beneficial for your organization to hire a self-employed person? If you are taking a step towards becoming an employer for the first time, there are also other things that are useful to find out. For example, which legal obligations do you have to meet as an employer? Are you eligible for subsidies and regulations for personnel costs? Which employment contract suits your organization and financial situation? If you both employ employees and issue assignments to self-employed individuals, you may wonder whether this will still be possible after 2025. What influence does actively monitoring compliance with the DBA law have on your organization?

In short, it is not an easy decision: do you continue to hire a self-employed person or do you employ them? Clients and employers who want advice and assistance with hiring self-employed individuals on a permanent basis can make use of the Zekere Zaak Advies subsidy. This subsidy provides a financial contribution for an advisory session or process related to hiring self-employed individuals and the associated requirements. During one or more meetings, an advisor collaborates with the client or employer to calculate costs and revenues and discusses the necessary arrangements.

You can download two documents that may already answer some of your questions. These are the reports ‘The step towards good employers in the cultural and creative sector’ and the KvK (ENG: Chamber of Commerce) checklist ‘Hiring staff for the first time’.
